Lokenath Brahmachari

(from "Quintessence of Sai Satcharitra"):

Baba says, "I shall fulfill all desires of the one who will remember me with love." In these words of Sainath, one can hear an echo of Baba Lokenath's, the great Himalayan Master (1730-1890), promise to mankind. In a letter to Baba Lokenath, his devotee Anandakanti Nag urged him to keep remembering him so that Anandakanti might get out of his stressful situation. What Baba Lokenath had written back as a reply is the essence of the spiritual world, "You have written about remembrance. That is indeed a deep word because the meaning of remembrance is love;  therefore, the depth of remembrance is mutual and reciprocal." Baba Lokenath says that remembrance means love, meaning true remembrance happens only when it benignly arises from the deepest depth of the heart and flows to the lotus feet of the Beloved in a manner of the humblest offering of love.

Such remembrance is the bridge of union with the Supreme Power. When the devotee remembers with intense love and surrender the One who is Sarvadhar (the foundation of all creation), and Sarva-ashraya (the ultimate refuge of all beings), the impact of such remembrance is directly proportional to the depth of impact it leaves. If a seeker remembers the One deeply, the One remembers the seeker as deeply too. The love-remembrance has unique vibrational energy where time and space are no barrier. Time meets with the Timeless at this point. The cry of yearning wrung from the heart of the devotee touches the foundation of the Universe, the Lord's feet. In that very same moment, there arises from the Lord's Feet the river of supremely powerful energy. This is the river of Grace through which the power of the pure desire of a devotee is fulfilled. Sai Baba speaks of the same "love-filled remembrance." Mere remembrance, devoid of yearning, is a mechanical ritual. Yearning arises only when misery strikes. Thus, when the yearning rises from the heart's depth, Sainath's promise shall be fulfilled.
