RAṀ RAṀ RAṀ RAṆGA-RAṆGE PRAHASITA-VADANE PIⱮṆGA-KESHI SHMASHĀNE
VRAṀ VRIṀ VRUṀ STHĀPANĪYE BHṚIKUṬI-PAṬU-PHAṬĀṬOPA-ṬOṀ-KĀRA-VAJRE || 1 ||

HAṀ HAṀ HАṀ! O Hamsa [of all] hams, laughing: "Iha-iha ...", One who brings a liberation With Her terrible rolling laughter!
KHAṀ KHAṀ KHAṀ! O She who holds [in her hand] a sword, Shelter of the three worlds! O Kali, who wears bones [as an adornment]!
RAṀ RAṀ RAṀ! O Shining-with-many-colors, with a laughing countenance! You are with fiery red hair, dwelling on a shmashan!
VRAṀ VRIṀ VRUṀ! O Installed [in revered images]! Whose sharp furrowed brows swell like a hooded snake neck, and Whose weapon-vajra is the sound of OM!

HRAṀ HRIṀ HRUṀ LAMBA-JIHVE KHAGA-KHAGA-KHAGAJE EHI EHI PRACAṆḌE
JRAṀ JRIṀ JRUṀ KHAḌGA-DHĀRE RA-RA-RA-RA-RA-RARE JVĀLINI PIⱮṆGALĀKṢHI |
GHEṀ GHEṀ GHEṀ BHŪTA-NĀTHE KILI-KILI-RAHASE CAṆḌIKE CARMA-MUṆḌE
RAṀ RIṀ RUṀ KṢHIPRA-LAMBE PRALAYA-PARIṆATE NAGNA-RŪPI-SVARŪPE || 2 ||

HRAṀ HRIṀ HRUṀ! O One with a dangling Tongue! Who is Born in Space and Heaven - Come, come, O Enraged One!
JRAṀ JRIṀ JRUṀ! O Sword Bearer! Your eyes blazing with a flame [of fury] make a sound  "ra-ra-ra…"!
GHEṀ GHEṀ GHEṀ! O Master of Spirits, who is Playing [with them] in solitude!  O Wrathful One, covering Her bare skull with skin!
RAṀ RIṀ RUṀ!  O Impetuous and Sudden [in disappearance]! Completely Immersed [in Herself] and Naked!

SATYAṀ SAṀHĀRA-GHORE LA-LA-LA-LA-LALANE SHŪLA-HASTE PRAHASTE
KUṢHME KŪṢHMĀṆḌA-MUṆḌE HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HARE BHAIRAVI UGRA-TEJE ||
BHRAṀ BHRIṀ BHRUṀ KĀLA-RĀTRI NISHICHA-NISHICHARE VAJRA-DAṆḌE PRAHASTE
KAṀ KAṀ KAṀ MANTRA-DHĀRE ḌAMARUKA-SAHITE BHADRADE BHADRA-KĀLI || 3 ||

O She who is truly Terrible in destruction; playing "la-la-la ..." with a spear in Her hands! O, Giantess!
O She who produced the Cosmic egg, bringing light to the universe. O Bhairavi, [with sounds] "ha-ha-ha ..." who is destroying [the Universe] with terrible fire!
BHRAṀ BHRIṀ BHRUṀ! O Night of Eternity, roaring in the night with a wand-vajra in Her hands!
KAṀ KAṀ KAṀ! O Center of mantras [pronounced] with damaru [in hands]! O Bestower of blessings, O Bhadrakali!

YOGI-YOGĀDINĀTHE HANA-HANA-HANAYE IṢHṬA-TUṢHṬE TRI-SHŪLE
NITYAṀ PRAJVĀLA-MĀLI RA-RA-RA-RA-RA-RARE SARVA-CHAKṢHUḤ-PRACHAṆḌE |
KLAṀ KLIṀ KLUṀ KĀLYA-KĀLI SHASHA-DHARA-DHAVALE ŪRDHVA-GHORE KARĀLI
GHRAṀ GHRIṀ GHRUṀ GHORA-NĀDE PRAHASITA-VADANE BHINNA-MŪRTI-PRACHAṆḌE || 4 ||

O Primordial Patroness of yoga and yogis, O smashing killer, One who is satisfied with desired sacrifices, armed with a Trident!
O She who is always surrounded by a flaming circle, [Sounds] "ra-ra-ra ..." are produced with all the [flame that comes out of] Your [flaming] eyes, O Enraged One!
KLAṀ KLIṀ KLUṀ! O Kali of Eternity, who is shining with the silvery-white light of the moon, O She who is in the highest degree Terrible, who is opening Her gaping mouth!
GHRAṀ GHRIṀ GHRUṀ! O She [who makes scoundrels] cry of fear! With a laughing countenance, O Furious who manifests in various forms!

ĀKĀSHOTTĀLA-JIHVE PRALAYA-PARIṆATE GRANTHI-CHCHEDE TRI-NETRE
SHAKTIṢHṬHE BHĀVA-HĀSE HUTA-VAHA-NILAYE KĀLI KAⱮṆKĀLA-DHĀRI |
LAMBOṢHṬHE ANTARIKṢHE DASHA-DISHI GAGANE KARMA-MĀYĀ-DHARITRI
TRĀHI MĀṀ KĀLA-VĀSE ASURA-SURA-PATE RAKṢHA MĀṀ BHADRA-KĀLI || 5 ||

O She whose tongue is shot up to the sky, who is Fully Ready for Dissolution!
O She who is piercing the knots [of obstacles on the path of kundalini], O Three-eyed!
O She who is dwelling in all powers, Laughing at [material] existence!
Oh, the center of the fire which burns [everything], O Kali, hung with bones!
O She whose lips hang down, who is dwelling in space, in ten spheres, in heaven!
Oh, Supporter of the forces of karma and maya; save me, one who is dwelling in Eternity, Ruler of demons and gods!
Protect me, O Bhadrakali!

BHEṀ BHEṀ BHEṀ BHEDANĪYE HALA-HALA-HALAYE KĀLA-KŪṬE NAMAS TE || 6 ||

BHAṀ BHAṀ BHAṀ! O Being of Being [itself]; one Who is free from Being and non-Being, You are Enjoyment and Liberation, O Enraged One!
BHIṀ BHIṀ BHIṀ! O Night of Eternity, Carrying [in Herself] the Secret of Secrets, who is Enjoying the breath of the wind!
BHUṀ BHUṀ BHUṀ! O She who is shaking the Earth; Waving in the space of heaven; Not running and [at the same time] running!
BHEṀ BHEṀ BHEṀ  O She who is split-up; who is making a furrow with a plow! O [Poison] Kalakuta [itself] (lit. "Great deception of time"), worship to You!

UGRA-UGRE SVA-RŪPE DAMA-DAMA-DAMA HUṀ SATYA-VĀDĪ MATĀⱮṆGI
HUṀ-KĀRE GHORA-NĀDE NARA-PISHITA-MUKHĪ SATYA-VĀDĪ SU-DEVI |
HRAṀ HRIṀ HRUṀ INDRA-BHĀVE SHASHA-DHARA-DHAVALE BRAHMA-CHANDRE MAHENDRE 
RAṀ RIṀ RUṀ KṢHĪPRA-LAMBE ḌAMARUKA-SAHITE RAKṢHA MĀṀ BHADRA-KĀLI || 7 ||

Oh, the very Image of Horror for all that is terrible, [Who is making sounds] “dam-dam…” and “hum…”! 
O She who is always telling the truth, O Matangi! Who is the very sound “HUM”!
The Sound of Horror, You are the One Whose mouth is full of human flesh, 
You are always telling the truth, O Benign Goddess! 
HRAṀ HRIṀ HRUṀ! Oh, the very existence of Indra, who is Shining with silver-white moonlight; Oh Moon of Brahma; Oh Power of the great Indra!
RAṀ RIṀ RUṀ! O Swift and Sudden, who is with damaru [in hand]! Protect me, O Bhadrakali!

ETAN MATROKTA VIDDHI PRAHASI-RIPU-BHAYAṀ MĀRI-CHORĀVINĀSHAṀ
BHŪTA-PRETĀDI-VARGE GRAHA-VIṢHA-HARAṆAṀ GHORA-PĀPA-PRANĀSHAṀ |
NITYAṀ KĪRTIṀ SU-BUDDHIṀ SUKHAM AKHILA-MANO SĀHASAṀ BUDDHI-SIDDHIṀ
ETAN MANTRĀṢHṬAKAṀ YAḤ PAṬHATI SU-LABHATE BHUKTI-MUKTI-PRAKĀSHAMṀ || 8 ||

The knowledge of reciting this mantra removes the fear of enemies, prevents death, and destroys thieves. This mantra is the destruction of spirits, ghosts, and other [evil forces]; [adverse influences] of planets; [action] of poisons; elimination of terrible sins. One who constantly chants this mantra of eight verses - the torch of pleasure and liberation, - will successfully acquire fame, wisdom, happiness, boundless perfection of the mind, and other siddhis.
