Ramana Maharshi: Do you know the present life so well that you wish to know the past? Find out the present life, then the rest will follow. Even with our present limited knowledge we suffer so much. Why do you wish to burden yourself with more knowledge and suffer more?

Haridas Shastri: Don’t put me in the situation that I have to criticize this or that person. I will just tell you the truth and you will automatically understand which Guru is right or wrong in which point. In this way aparādha (offense) is avoided.
