Guruji
 (From "Quintessence of Sai Charitra"):

There is a beautiful synchronicity in the infinite myriad of creation. Hidden behind many forms and many names in the one and non-dual life force which is continually manifesting as the eternal cosmic rhythm amidst the dance of the Creation-Preservation-Destruction process of Nature. If one allows one's outer body to remain afloat in the gross consciousness of the material world, the grossness grants the eye's sight or the ear's hearing the limited capability to see and hear only that which is grossly physical. Then the same sense preceptors are trained to look inward through practice, they acquire the power of subtle perception and can see the One who is present amidst all diversities, the one who is ever-beautiful amidst all ugliness. This power that dispels all ignorance is called the grace of Sadguru, the Guru-shakti. While Guru is the non-dual, unmanifest, indwelling light at the centre of every cosmic particle, shakti is the grace in action, emanating through the seeker's awareness and love for Guru amidst everything of the manifest universe.

Worship can be done both internally as well as externally; physically as well as in subtle ways. External worship relates to rules and rituals, laws and principles. This ritualistic worship creates a deep heart-to-heart connection with the Guru or God as someone relatable and lovable, though belonging to a higher plane than the known physical, through the help of mediums such as water, holy symbols, holy pilgrimages, candles, flowers, holy books, fire oblations, incense, mantras, yoga and so on. With time these external mediums lose their requirements in the devotee's heart, although their meaning becomes more intimate and profound in their inner world of love.

Then even the external worships lead to the meditative internalisation of all rituals and the external worship transforms into a beautiful communion, an intense relationship at a deeply emotional level. This worship is called internal worship and it is the highest form of worship. The aim of all external paraphernalia of religious worship is to ultimately take one to the plane of internal worship where one feels an authentic, non-superfluous connection with the eternal beloved. It is a precious, sacred feeling in the secret cave of one's heart. Then the seeker does his worship through all his worldly activities. Each of his activities then becomes a service to the Guru, worship to the Lord, because the seeker's state of Consciousness, having blossomed into moment-to-moment awareness of the Lord's abiding love for him, is always elevated, constantly fixed at the loving face of the beloved. Just as a lover, when madly in love, lives in a different world of inner ecstasy even though the world outside might be challenging one. Even the most mundane everyday affair becomes prayerful worship. Then one always remains. Incredibly close to his beloved in the mental plane. Joys and sorrows, honour and insult - everything reveals itself only as a blessing. This is the time when the skakti or power of the Sadguru gets spontaneously attracted and poured into the disciples' inner spiritual vessel - spiritual transmission happens. The disciples attain the Guru's divine grace and by perceiving his Guru's endless form amidst the multiplicity of creation, he attains eternal peace.
